Final showing

This week we had a look at our videos from the beginning (not all of them), to see how much we improved. We did improve I must say, It was interesting to see how much we all did.Right now I feel like Im not in an Arts Management course, but in a Video Production one....:-)However we haven't finished yet , there's a final paper, what none of us knew before, so we have to write that.Than the semester is over.

Making the final movie for Winetour

Making the final movie for the competition by Winetour was really a group work.Everybody tokk part in different things, that's how we put it together. The shooting was not hard, however it involved great organizing skills. On the other hand, editing was harder and obviously took more time. The new program, Pinnacle is easy to use and I learnt a lot, how to usem special effects etc. However the computer itself froze a couple of times, luckily we were saving in every second.

Making a professional video

Today we looked at some of the tricks we can use while making a music video, so it looks more like the professional videos/films. For example adding extra grain or using a nylon lyer in fron of the lense can make it look different.All these are small things which can add up to make a really great film. We aslo checked how to do all these in the camera setting, and how we can set up the lights when we are making our new video. So now we are all ready to go.......:-)

Misinterpreted music

Last week we had a look at some songs that are generally misinterpreted, even though the lyrics are clear. For example the Born in the USA from Springsteen is a national anthem now, but it was not meant to be. Its interesting to know all these things, especially as it can be very important when making a music video. All these were really new for me.

Making the HELP video

We started editing last week, and I have to say the new program is really cool!!I am not atechnical genius and I can't say that anything electronic makes me happy or anthing, but I really got into this new program!!It was easy to use, but clever.....we edited the whole in about 5 hours...the hardest part was always to match the lines of the song to the video wher the boys sang....we turned it into black and white, so it looks really old, like a Beatles video.....I think its funny. By the end we got really tired...the credits are missing, we didnt find it here and when we put it in Nero, the quality wsn't really good.....apart from that, its ok.

Shooting the video

Last week we didnt have classes. instead we went to shoot our music video.
We chose Beatles: Help! as a song....it wasn't that easy as we thought to find
the four members of the band, but finally we succeed. Shooting was fun, however we had a little
program at Keleti railwaystation, as apparentely we wetre supposed to have a permission, but we got over it. Another problem was taking the lights with us, which did not work when we turned it on....there was no lightbulb in it.So now we are wondering how the studio scene will work out... we will see during editing.

How to shoot a live production

This week's video production class was aminly about how to shoot a live production, therefore we watched some videos on youtube. It is necessary to hear all these things, as for our nex video we have to do the same, we will probably shoot something live. We also got tips how to make a storyboard for this, including the character, costume etc. My group has the main idea and we will make the storyboard next week according to this, so it will make our job easier.
